African Heritage is an Athens-based group formed in Sierra Leone. After having performed at a number of festivals in Africa and Europe, Dauda and his friends decided to take a risk and continue their artistic journey in Greece. Shortly after, new members were added to the group. African Heritage currently consists of members from Sierra Leone and Liberia, but cooperates closely with other artists from Africa as well as with local dancers interested in African culture.

The group is constantly improving their musical, dance, and theatrical performance skills on stage. They have embraced the performance arts as a way of narrating their culture’s history and traditions, the world of slave trade in Europe, and their own cultural believes.

Through the group’s use of music, dancing, magic tricks, fire juggling, acrobatics, and drum beats, their audience is able to connect with the group and participate in the experience that is African Heritage.
